EP11: Post-Flight Maintenance – Flushing, Cleaning & Storage

After the job:

  1. Flush the hose line with clean water: Run clean water through pump and hose for 3–5 minutes to prevent detergent corrosion. Drain the hose and pump to avoid scaling and winter freezing. Use the hose reel to store the hose neatly.
  2. Pump oil: Check the oil level through the sight glass (red dot / midline). First oil change at 50 hours, then every 100 hours. Oil: SAE 15W/40.
  3. Filter: Clean the pump inlet filter regularly to prevent sand/grit damage.
  4. Wipe down the drone: Use a clean cloth. Focus on radar sensors and onboard camera. Remove residue to prevent corrosion.
  5. Check props for tiny chips (affects stability).
  6. Check the high-pressure hose for wear points (prevents burst next time).
  7. Check nozzles for clogging (affects spray pattern).
  8. Battery: Let it cool before charging. If unused for over 10 days, store at about 60% charge.
