When we use cast resin transformer outdoor in our production and life, they are used indoors. In fact, dry-type transformers can also be installed outdoors, but there are some conditions, and some even need to be maintained and maintained to avoid problem appear. Cast resin transformer outdoor should be placed outside and in the open air:

1. The difference between temperature rise and heat dissipation, especially for dry-type transformers with natural heat dissipation, it is better to put them outdoors.

2. The insulation requirements will be different. Considering the poor outdoor insulation environment (pollution level), the dry-type transformer will require higher external insulation performance.

3. The protection level will be different. Considering the difference in outdoor safety performance, the dry-type transformer will be required to have a slightly higher protection level.

Note: Cast resin transformer outdoor (electric high-power equipment) will inevitably lead to lightning. Be prepared for lightning strikes. In the past, lightning damage to distribution transformers was simply thought to be caused by lightning waves entering high-voltage windings. In fact, this understanding is somewhat one-sided. Theoretical analysis and practical tests show that the main reason for the lightning damage accident of distribution transformer is due to the overvoltage of forward and reverse transformation when the distribution system suffers from lightning damage, and the overvoltage damage accident of reverse transformation is especially serious.
