Lightning protection measures for substations

1) Use lightning rods or lightning conductors to protect the transformer against direct lightning strikes;

2) Use valve-type arresters to protect the transformer against lightning intrusion waves;

3) Use transformer working grounding as lightning rod and lightning arrester for lightning protection measures;

4) Connect the iron feet of the overhead line insulators at the inlet and outlet of the power distribution room to the working grounding body of the substation for lightning protection.
