1. Branch box application: Branch boxes are widely used outdoors. With the development of science and technology, there are more and more cable junction boxes with switches. City cables usually use double-circuit power supply. Therefore, some people call the junction box with switch directly as the outdoor ring network cabinet.

But at present, most of these ring cabinets cannot realize power distribution automation. However, manufacturers have introduced outdoor ring cabinets that automate the distribution network, which also blurs the line between branch boxes and ring main units.

2. Application of ring network cabinet: The ring network cabinet has not appeared for a long time, but it has been widely used. This is mainly due to the newly developed buildings of industrial enterprises and institutions. From the point of view of power supply and distribution, the small capacity of most of its distribution transformers generally does not exceed 1250KVA, long-term stable power supply, and infrequent operation of high-voltage switches.
