DJI-centered Workflow via PSDK / E-Port V2

The M400 Facade Cleaning Kit is designed around DJI Matrice 400 payload integration, using a PSDK workflow via DJI E-Port V2. Where supported by the final configuration, the operator can control cleaning functions through the original DJI controller workflow instead of adding a separate third-party spray remote.

1. Mount the cleaning payload

The spray boom is designed as a bolt-on payload for the DJI Matrice 400, using a non-invasive installation approach intended to avoid normal-use airframe modification.

2. Connect through the payload interface

The cleaning control module is designed for PSDK integration via DJI E-Port V2.

3. Operate through a DJI-centered workflow

Spray mode control, boom movement, and pump-related functions can be configured around the DJI controller workflow.

How Water-Tethered Cleaning Works

Choose an EAUAV-supplied or engineering-approved local pump; pressurized water then flows through the cleaning kit to the facade.

Spray Boom A1 or A2: Choose Your Foam-to-Rinse Workflow

OPTION A1 — Manual Nozzle Change

Apply foam, land to change the nozzle, then relaunch for clean-water rinsing.

Best for: Lower-cost entry and initial workflow validation.

OPTION A2 — Remote Nozzle Switching

Switch from foam to pressure rinsing from the DJI controller—no landing for a manual nozzle change.

Best for: A smoother workflow with fewer interruptions.

Both options support oscillating foam application and high-pressure rinsing. The key difference is how you switch from foam to rinse: A1 requires landing for a manual nozzle change, while A2 switches nozzles directly from the DJI controller.

Choose Your Ground Pump Setup

After selecting A1 or A2, choose how the cleaning system will be pressurized from the ground. EAUAV can supply a matched standalone pump or an integrated pump cart, or our engineers can review a pump you already own or plan to purchase locally.

OPTION B - Professional Standalone Pump

A matched high-pressure pump for a straightforward jobsite setup.

Standard model: Kärcher HD 6/15-4 M Classic

Best for: Teams that need a reliable matched pump without an integrated ground cart.

EAUAV supplies: Integrated pump cart, hose reel and ground-side workflow system

Best for: Faster jobsite setup and a more organized commercial cleaning workflow.

Electrical details required: Local voltage · Frequency · Plug type

LOCAL / EXISTING PUMP - Use Your Own Pump

Already have a pump or prefer to purchase one locally? Send us the exact pump model, nameplate and outlet photos for compatibility review.

General pump requirement: ≥ 3 kW · Adjustable 12–18 MPa

Required from customer: Pump model · Nameplate photo

EAUAV engineering must confirm compatibility before the pump is connected to the cleaning kit.

Choose Option B for a straightforward matched pump, Option C for an integrated ground workflow, or submit your local pump for engineering approval.

POWER & FLIGHT PLANNING

Keep Cleaning Moving with a Three-Battery Rotation

For cleaning operations with the spray boom and water hose, plan for approximately 30 minutes per flight. We recommend three TB100 batteries rotating between flight, charging and standby to support repeated work cycles.

Safety Checklist for High-pressure Aerial Cleaning

High-pressure aerial cleaning requires more than a powerful pump. Stable operation depends on working distance, pressure selection, hose management, site control, pilot training, and a documented SOP.

Before each project, operators should assess:

  • Site access and exclusion zone
  • Wind and weather conditions
  • GNSS and obstacle environment
  • Surface type and sensitivity
  • Nozzle selection and spray distance
  • Pump pressure and flow settings
  • Hose routing, hose drag, and snag risks
  • Emergency stop and return workflow
  • Pilot and ground crew communication
  • Local aviation and work-at-height rules

Note: For indoor, atrium, GNSS-challenged, maritime, industrial tank, or roof projects, a site-specific review is required before operation.

M400 Cleaning Kit FAQs

Clear answers on aircraft compatibility, configurations, pumps, power requirements and jobsite planning.

  • No. The DJI Matrice 400, original controller, TB100 batteries and BS100 charging station are not included. You can use an M400 you already own or purchase one through a local DJI Enterprise dealer. EAUAV supplies the selected cleaning kit and supporting technical materials.

  • The kit is designed for the DJI Matrice 400 and connects through DJI E-Port V2. The EAUAV PSDK control application runs within the original M400 controller workflow. The kit uses a bolt-on installation and does not require routine modification of the airframe.

  • The bolt-on design is intended to avoid routine airframe modification, but DJI warranty coverage and interpretation are determined by DJI and the local authorized channel. Please confirm regional warranty handling with your DJI dealer before operation.

  • Yes, boom-only / wand-only quotation can be discussed for customers who already have their own pump, hose, and cleaning system. Interface and connector details must be confirmed.
  • Choose A1 for the lowest entry cost and initial workflow validation. Its foam-to-rinse workflow requires the drone to land so the operator can change the nozzle before relaunching for the rinse.
  • Choose A2 for a smoother commercial workflow. A2 allows the operator to select the foam or pressure-rinse nozzle from the M400 controller without landing solely to change the nozzle. Option A2 is our recommended commercial starting point.
  • Yes. Option A1 or A2 can be paired with an engineering-approved existing or locally purchased pump. The initial screening baseline is at least approximately 3 kW, adjustable 12–18 MPa, and approximately 450–600 L/h.

Please send the exact pump model, a clear nameplate photo, rated power, working and maximum pressure, flow rate, and outlet photos. EAUAV engineering must confirm compatibility before the pump is connected to the cleaning kit.

  • Option B combines A2 with the Kärcher HD 6/15-4 M Classic standalone pump. Its reference range is 70–150 bar, 450–600 L/h and 3.4 kW. It is the simpler matched-pump option and does not include an integrated water tank or detergent-metering system.
  • Option C combines A2 with the integrated ground system. It includes a 300 L foldable water tank, 10 L detergent tank, integrated reel connection, remote start and water/mixed-mode selection. Its current reference is up to 15 MPa, 11 L/min and approximately 3.3 kW.
  • Before quotation, please provide the destination voltage, frequency, phase, plug or socket type, and any applicable grounding or electrical-protection requirements. EAUAV will confirm the appropriate electrical version and connection arrangement for the destination.

  • The current standard configuration uses a 120 m lightweight high-pressure hose with a 5 mm internal diameter and a 20 MPa pressure rating.
  • Hose length is not a guaranteed cleaning height. Routine facade projects should currently be planned below 60 m, subject to site conditions, local operating rules and onsite validation. Begin testing at approximately 1.5 m from a flat facade and adjust only after confirming spray response and aircraft stability.
  • DJI publishes a maximum flight time of up to 59 minutes for the M400 under specified test conditions without the cleaning payload. For cleaning operations with the spray boom and water hose, plan for approximately 30 minutes per flight.
  • Actual endurance depends on wind, hose drag, suspended hose length, operating profile and battery condition. We recommend preparing three TB100 batteries and rotating them between flight, charging and standby.
  • No. The EAUAV M400 Cleaning Kit uses a ground-fed water hose, while the aircraft is powered by its onboard TB100 battery. We recommend three TB100 batteries rotating between flight, charging and standby for repeated cleaning cycles.

We do not recommend adding electrical power tethering to this cleaning configuration. A power cable adds suspended weight, drag and snagging or entanglement risks alongside the water hose. It also introduces additional electrical-protection requirements around water spray and complicates cable management and emergency procedures.

EAUAV does not offer an electrical power-tether option for this kit. Our recommended setup combines water supplied from the ground with battery-powered flight.

  • EAUAV does not currently supply a self-developed and validated RO/DI water-treatment or hot-water preparation system. Customers should prepare these locally when low-mineral final rinsing or hot-water treatment is required.
  • Option C supports a detergent-mixing workflow, but the cleaning agent, SDS, dilution ratio, surface compatibility and local chemical requirements must be confirmed before use. Final-rinse water preparation remains the customer’s responsibility.
  • EAUAV can provide technical datasheets, payload and integration information, installation guidance and baseline operating SOPs, including recoil-handling notes.
  • The operator or local partner remains responsible for permits, pilot qualifications, insurance, site risk assessment and any SORA, EASA or local aviation-authority submission. EAUAV provides supporting product information but does not guarantee regulatory approval.
  • Yes. EAUAV is already supporting partner testing and cooperation discussions in more than 10 countries. Qualified DJI Enterprise dealers, distributors, system integrators and cleaning-service partners can request dealer pricing, technical packs, demo and onboarding materials, sales media, spare-parts planning and market-development support.
