Dry Distribution Transformer Load Operation
When choosing a dry distribution transformer, the output power of the dry-type transformer should be determined according to the working voltage and current application status of the load. The standard output current of dry-type transformers is the amount of current derived at full load. When under load, the dry-type transformer can export more than 30% of the rated voltage.
1. Used to start loaded machinery and equipment
The working current of some machines and equipment is the rated current, but the current during startup is very large, sometimes exceeding the rated voltage by 30%~50%. For example, the load working capacity of a DC servo motor is usually designed to be 3 times the rated value of the AC power. The amount of current when the load starts is relatively large, and the dry-type transformer operates under the load in a short period of time. This type of machinery and equipment that drives current loads is equipped with dry distribution transformer, and it must be taken into account that the output current of the transformer exceeds 20% of the current of the machinery and equipment. Due to the repeated start-up of the load, the ambient temperature of the dry-type transformer will rise, which will reduce the service life of the transformer for a long time.
2. Apply to machinery and equipment without load
When designing many mechanical equipment, the larger working current will be fully considered, and the running current will not need a load. For example, the servo motor is used as the driving force of the machine equipment, and the amount of current during operation is the same as the amount of current during operation. When the dry distribution transformer is selected, it is only necessary to export the current amount equal to the current amount of the servo motor controller or more than 10%. The servo motor can never generate load current. In the environment, the output power of the servo motor is variable. In fact, the functional loss of the servo motor decreases with the increase of the speed ratio. Servo motors equipped with dry-type transformers are suitable.
In summary, it can be seen that the core loss of dry distribution transformers is less, and the operation is stable and the load capacity is strong. Especially in the use of servo motor switching power supplies, the high-quality characteristics of dry-type transformers far exceed U. Type, E-type transformer.
