Insulation performance advantages of power transformers
Power transformers have become important electrical equipment in some industries, improving operating efficiency. In order to ensure safety when using power transformers, it is necessary to strengthen the insulation performance of power transformers, and insulating structures are used on some parts.
1. Insulation between turns. The windings of power transformers are generally made of cable paper-wrapped wires. Because the paper is used as the turn insulation of the power transformer winding, the dielectric constant of the paper is not much different from that of the oil, so the electric field distribution can be made more uniform, but we should also pay attention to the data that the oil gap can not be completely broken down. To choose the insulation thickness of the turns, we have to keep enough degrees.
2. Insulation between layers and sections. Interlayer insulation is mainly suitable for cylindrical windings. When the working voltage between the two layers is high, the interlayer insulation is relatively thick, which not only increases the radial size of the power transformer winding, but also is not conducive to heat dissipation, which increases the temperature of the power transformer winding.
3. Longitudinal insulation structure of power transformers: power transformers of 35 kV and below; total insulation of power transformers above 110 kV.
Insulation protection and safety protection measures from the above three aspects can improve the safety of power transformers and avoid unnecessary harm. Attention should be paid to these safety measures of power transformers.
