Dry-type transformer is the abbreviation of a transformer that adopts a dry-type iron core or copper core stacked structure (ie, ferromagnetic resonance) and uses air as a cooling medium.

It has the characteristics of small size, light weight, low loss and low operating temperature, so it is widely used in power systems.

The 2.5 mva dry type transformer belongs to the medium-capacity series. Its rated voltage is 400/500V and its rated current is 12A. It is suitable for 10~40.5Kw three-phase AC power supply and used for step-down. This series of transformers consists of a shell, windings and heat sinks. The windings include: a cylindrical coil rolled from a silicon steel sheet, and an enameled wire around it. The cooling device includes: a radiator and a fan.

Technical requirements for 2.5 mva dry type transformer:

1. The shell shall meet the following requirements:

(1) Material: Q235 steel is used between the outer casing and the inner casing, and No. 45 steel is used between the inner casing and the outer frame. Sealing ring: rubber parts, temperature resistance 105°C.

(2) Shell: smooth surface, uniform color, no scratches, and no scars that affect the use; all joints should be tightly connected; serious corrosion is not allowed.

2. Winding installation:

Arrangement order of windings: primary first, then secondary, high voltage first, then low voltage.
