Distribution Transformer VS Isolation Transformer

A distribution transformer is used to step down the high voltage from power lines to a lower voltage suitable for distribution to homes and businesses. An isolation transformer, on the other hand, is used to isolate sensitive electronic equipment from the power source in order to prevent electrical noise and other types of interference. While both types of transformers are used in electrical systems, they serve different purposes and have different designs.
