It is reported that the 500 kV Fengcheng (Shunde II) power transmission and transformation project was approved and approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission on April 12, 2017, including 3 individual projects including Fengcheng Station, lines and communications. The main project of Fengcheng Station started on December 28, 2018 and was put into production on December 25, 2019. This means that the construction of Fengcheng Station took only one year, setting a record for the construction of Foshan’s 500 kV substation.
Stable and continuous power supply is of great significance to economic development. As an important northwest gateway station for power transmission from west to east into the Greater Bay Area, Fengcheng Station was completed and put into operation with high standards, which further facilitated the delivery of Nuozhadu DC power to the load center for consumption, and improved the power supply capacity and reliability of Guangdong Power Grid . At present, Fengcheng Station has been in safe operation for more than 700 days since it was put into operation, and the accumulated power transmission has exceeded 10 billion kWh, which has a very positive effect on the social and economic development of Guangdong Province, especially Foshan City.
