Oil Filled Power Transformer Installation Classification
Oil filled power transformer are divided into indoor and outdoor according to the installation location.
Outdoor installation is divided into platform type, pole tower type and floor type (including pre-installed type).
1.1 pole tower
The pole-tower type is to install the oil filled power transformer on the frame on the pole. Divided into single-rod and double-rod.
When the capacity of the oil filled power transformer is 30KVA or below (including 30KVA), a single-pole distribution transformer stand is generally used. Install the distribution transformer, high-voltage drop-out fuse and high-voltage arrester on a cement pole, and the pole body should be inclined 13°-15° to the opposite direction of the assembled distribution transformer.
When the capacity of the oil filled power transformer is between 50KVA and 315KVA, the double-rod distribution transformer platform is generally used. The distribution transformer platform is composed of a main rod cement rod and another auxiliary rod. The main rod is equipped with a high-voltage drop-out fuse and a high-voltage down-lead, and the auxiliary rod has a secondary anti-lead wire. A double-pole distribution transformer table is stronger than a single-pole distribution transformer.
The advantages of pole and tower installation: less land occupation, no need for fences or fences around, live parts are high from the ground, and accidents are not easy to occur.
Disadvantages: more steel materials are used for the stand, and the cost is higher.
1.2 Pier type
The pier type is to build a 0.5-1m square pier with bricks and stones under the transformer pole, and put the transformer on it. Generally, transformers above 315KVA are installed.
Attention should be paid to the installation of pier type transformer:
(1) A solid fence or wall of not less than 1.8m should be installed around the transformer, and the door should be locked and kept by a special person.
(2) There should be enough safe operating distance between the shielding fence and the fence and the transformer.
(3) Warning signs such as "high voltage danger, no climbing" should be hung on the poles or fences to prevent people and animals from approaching.
Advantages of platform pier installation: low cost, easy maintenance and repair. Disadvantages: It takes up a lot of land, and a fence should be installed around it. Small animals are easy to climb onto the live parts, and it is easy to be damaged by external forces.
1.3 floor type
The floor-standing type refers to placing the transformer directly on the ground, and the high-voltage down-conductor, drop-out fuse and lightning arrester are all on the line terminal pole.
Floor-standing transformer installation should pay attention to:
(1) Reliable barriers must be installed around the oil filled power transformer, and the door must be locked and kept by a special person.
(2) Warning signs such as "High Voltage Danger, No Climbing" must be hung outside the fence.
(3) Because the live part of the oil filled power transformer is very low from the ground, it must be cut off before entering the fence.
